Participating in the Cozy Crime Reads Book Giveaway Program is a free and easy way to gain exposure for your cozy mystery book and connect with new readers.

How the Cozy Crime Reads Giveaway Program Works

  • The program is open to cozy mystery authors and publishers.

  • There is no charge to participate in the program or give away a book.

  • The prize can be an ebook, a physical book (paperback or hardcover), or an audiobook. The book must be a cozy mystery. No thrillers, police procedurals, or other genres. See the definition for cozy mystery.

  • You can include book swag (such as bookmarks, recipe cards, etc.) as part of the prize package, but it is not required.

  • Giveaways can be US-only or international.

  • Cozy mystery book giveaways run for one month (example: June 1-June 30).

  • Contest entrants must fill out a form with their name and email address. They are not required to purchase anything or sign up for anything to enter the contests.

  • Book giveaways have at least one winner, but can have multiple winners if you would like to give away multiple books.

  • Cozy Crime Reads selects the winner via random drawing and gets the winner’s email address or mailing address. If the winner does not provide the required contact information within two weeks of winning, an alternate winner is chosen via a second random drawing.

  • Authors or publishers are responsible for providing the prize and sending the prize to the winner. Prizes must be sent to the winner within one week of receiving the winner’s contact information.

  • The giveaway will be advertised on the Cozy Crime Reads giveaway page, on social media, and in the Cozy Crime Reads monthly newsletter.

  • Cozy Crime Reads can create the graphic to advertise the giveaway. You can offer input on the text you would like for the graphic or the giveaway announcement.
