1.) The First Ladies’ Guide to Murder, the first book in the brand new First Ladies’ Murder Club Mystery Series by Amanda Flower (coming out November 24, 2026), is now available for pre-order! This historical cozy mystery series, set in the Gilded Age in Washington, D.C., features the capital’s most influential women, including Nelly Grant, Julia Dent Grant, and Frances Cleveland, as they band together to solve the suspicious murder of the First Lady’s young maid. |

2.) The 2026 Malice Domestic Convention Schedule is now available. This annual mystery fan convention has many events that will appeal to cozy mystery writers and readers, including a Jane Cleland writing workshop, author panels, signing events, a new author breakfast, an awards banquet, an interview with toastmaster Ellen Byron, a tea party, and much more. 3.) The Sheep Detectives, a witty new mystery based on the international bestselling book Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann, is coming to theaters May 8, 2026. In this PG movie, a shepherd reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. The movie has an all-star cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Brian Cranston, and Patrick Stewart. The winners were Whiskey Business by Adrian Andover (Best Debut), River of Lies by James L'Etoile (Best Mystery), The Case of the Missing Maid by Rob Osler (Best Historical), and Scot’s Eggs by Catriona McPherson (Best Humorous). 5.) Advanced reader copies (ARCs) of Death on the Lanai, the second Golden Girls Mystery by Rachel Ekstrom Courage, are now available on Net Galley. 6.)
