Resort to Murder is the first book in the Northwoods Mysteries by Annie McEwen. The amateur sleuth is Emmy Cooper, an interior designer whose family has a lakeside resort in the Northwoods.

The situation takes a deadly turn when Emmy finds the developer's body floating in the lake next to her family's resort.
When her father becomes a prime suspect in the case, Emmy steps up to clear her father's name and save her family's beloved home. She dives headfirst into a web of secrets and small-town grudges and does her best to find out which person in their small Northwoods community was desperate enough to resort to murder.
