1.) Apple Cornered, the first book in Amanda Flower’s new Amish Country Cafe Mystery Series, is available for pre-order! This new cozy story is set in Harvest, Ohio (the setting for some of Amanda’s other Amish mysteries). The amateur sleuth is Darcy Woodin, owner of the town’s popular Sunbeam Cafe. Darcy is catering Harvest’s very first annual Johnny Appleseed Days festival and gets caught up in a mystery when a body shows up in the town square. |

2.) Malice Domestic presented the Agatha Awards (named for Agatha Christie) at its annual convention on April 25, 2026. The winners in each category were Whiskey Business by Adrian Andover (Best First Mystery Novel), At Death’s Dough by Mindy Quigley (Best Contemporary Mystery Novel), The Case of the Christie Conspiracy by Kelly Oliver (Best Historical Mystery Novel), Vacations Can Be Murder by Dawn Barclay (Best Non-fiction), Death in the Cards by Mia P. Manansala (Best Children’s/Young Adult Mystery Novel), Six-Armed Robbery by Ashley-Ruth M. Bernier (Best Mystery Short Story). 3.) You’re Killing Me, a new 6-episode murder mystery series, premiered on Acorn TV on May 18. In this series, a bestselling novelist forms an unlikely alliance with a true crime podcaster to find the killer of a close friend in a quaint New England town. As more murders pile up, the pair of amateur sleuths clash with a local police detective. The series stars Brooke Shields, Amalia Williamson, and Tom Cavanagh. Laura Childs recently posted an update on her Scrapbooking Mysteries Series and Cackleberry Club Mysteries, saying that she has decided to let both series end.
